The Human Body by C Elze
All living events are bound up with form, with structures, the finest of which we cannot see even with the electron microscope, and the coarsest of which appear to us as the body and its organs. These form the subject of the following explanations. Its form can be described because, in spite of all individual differences, it seems to be unchangeable. In reality, the organs are subject to uninterrupted change, the cells and fibres of which they are made up come and go, and even the elements in the molecules of their chemical building blocks, oxygen, carbon, sulphur, phosphorus, etc., are constantly being exchanged. These presuppositions of being alive are not discussed here, but they form the background for the presentation, the intention of which is to convey a view of the artistic structure of the living man. Three works have provided the models for the illustrations, the Anatomical Atlas by Toldt-Hochstetter, the Hand Atlas of the Anatomy of Man by Spalteholz and the Anatomy of Man by Braus-Elze, but all the pictures have been revised and changed for the purpose presented here. Some of the illustrations are taken from scientific works, and their authors are named. Figs. 19 and .u were made available to me by Professor Friedrich Pauwels in Aachen from his treasury, for which I would like to thank him very much. I also have to thank the scientific draughtswoman Miss Irmgard Daxwanger for her understanding cooperation and Dr. Walter Schmidt from the Anatomical Institute in Munich for many kind help.| ISBN 13 | 9783642861505 |

"I was paying $11.99/month for Kindle Unlimited but realized I was renting books, not owning them. Bought this PDF and it's mine forever. Never going back to Kindle."
"Switched from Kindle to these PDFs. Same book, but I actually OWN it now. No monthly fees, no app required. Worth every penny."
"Kindle Unlimited kept raising prices. This is a one-time purchase and the file is permanently on my iPad. Best decision I've made for my reading habit."
"I compared Kindle vs this store. Kindle is cheaper monthly but you don't own anything. Here I paid once and the PDF is mine for life. Highly recommend."
"Left Kindle behind after they removed a book I was reading mid-series. With this PDF, nobody can take it away from me. True ownership feels good."
"Was skeptical about paying $18.95 when Kindle shows $3.99, but then I did the math — Kindle Unlimited is $143/year! This is way better value long term."
"Love that I can read this on any device without installing the Kindle app. The PDF works on my laptop, phone, and tablet seamlessly. So much freedom."
"My Kindle subscription was getting expensive. Switched to buying PDFs here and I'm saving money while actually building a permanent digital library I control."
