Progression of Childhood and Prepuberal Schizophrenia by C Eggers
After the occurrence of childhood psychoses of schizophrenic origin had already been pointed out in isolated cases from the middle of the last century (FRIEDREICH 1835, GRrESINGER 1845, G NTZ 1859, MoREL 1860, BERKHAN 1863, KELP 1875, EMMINGHAUS 1887, MoREAU DE TouRs 1888, CHASTENET 1890), the clinical picture of schizophrenia, which manifests itself already in childhood and in puberty, has been particularly difficult in recent years, especially with regard to the demarcation from the adult form of LUTZ, SPIEL, SsucHAREWA, STUTTE, UscHAKOW, VrLLINGER and WIECK - to name only the most important authors. So far, however, only sparse reports have been made on long-term catamnesis of childhood schizophrenia, so that knowledge about the course and prognosis of schizophrenic psychoses that manifests itself at an early stage is incomplete. Personal follow-up examinations after a sufficiently long observation period are also rare. Thus, most of the experience is based solely on surveys of patients who are in long-term inpatient care, and often only on case studies. The psychosis processes of patients who have never been in psychiatric treatment or care again are particularly interesting. The necessity of systematic investigations of long - if possible lifelong - courses of illness has been pointed out in particular by WEITBRECHT (1963) and most recently by BLEULER (1971, 1972). In the following, the experience gained from follow-up studies of a total of 71 childhood and prepubertal disorders originally diagnosed as schizophrenic are reported. "Switched from Kindle to these PDFs. Same book, but I actually OWN it now. No monthly fees, no app required. Worth every penny."
"Kindle Unlimited kept raising prices. This is a one-time purchase and the file is permanently on my iPad. Best decision I've made for my reading habit."
"I compared Kindle vs this store. Kindle is cheaper monthly but you don't own anything. Here I paid once and the PDF is mine for life. Highly recommend."
"Left Kindle behind after they removed a book I was reading mid-series. With this PDF, nobody can take it away from me. True ownership feels good."
"Was skeptical about paying $18.95 when Kindle shows $3.99, but then I did the math — Kindle Unlimited is $143/year! This is way better value long term."

"My Kindle subscription was getting expensive. Switched to buying PDFs here and I'm saving money while actually building a permanent digital library I control."
