Even today, studies on topical questions aimed at giving as much as possible an idea of the course of atrophy are by no means complete. In the local neuropathology laboratory, about 50 Pick's atrophies have been dissected since 1954. In the course of the systematic examination of the cases and the review of the literature, which had already been carried out at some time, we became aware of the large number of unsolved questions, which could certainly raise very interesting and far-reaching aspects in view of the special nature of the disease process.
