Since then, the Commission has presented a wide range of successful applications for hyperbaric oxygenation, which have so far been reflected in 4 World Congresses on Hyperbaric Oxygenation. This report contains the first German-language conference at which speakers from various European countries presented and discussed experiences on numerous indications of oxygen hyperbaric therapy. The aim of the publication of the contracts is to provide information on the current status, technical possibilities and some indications of oxygen hyperbaric treatment. The papers on the physiological and pathophysiological effects of high oxygen pressures are also likely to find a grateful readership among all physicians who deal with oxygen in the course of their work.
