Extrapyramidal Diseases by A Jakob
The research on which this study is based was inspired by Alzheimer's work on Huntington's chorea and Westphal-Striimpell's pseudosclerosis, which I witnessed in the Miinchen laboratory at the time, and builds on the groundbreaking studies on striar diseases published by C. and O. Vogt. They go back to 1912, were interrupted by the war and have only been able to experience a coherent and flowing processing in recent years. Based on the conviction that in these diseases too, the process research is to be taken into account in the same way as the question of localization, the same attention was paid to the histological processing of the material in the individual forms of the disease as to the determination of the respective location of the disorders. Thus, in addition to answering the question of localisa tion that is now at the forefront of interest, the present studies are also intended to contribute to the special histopathology of the extrapyramic system.
