Cement-free hip prostheses by Dirk H Rogge
The constant progress in all areas of medicine and the resulting obligation to master medical knowledge force us to constantly correct and supplement what we have learned. Like any history of development, medical development does not run in a straight line from one point to the next, but takes its course via many detours. The use of bone cement in the implantation of hip prostheses can also be seen as a detour. Two decades after Charnley introduced cement fixation into arthroplasty, the increasing number of loosening complications with a growing avalanche of reoperations is forcing a return to the abandoned path of cement-free implantation technology, which Ring had continued to pursue. The goal of permanently anchoring the prosthesis parts in the bone is pursued with very different concepts in such a variety of ways, as it is difficult for even the initiated to keep track of all developments. In recent years, cement-free hip arthroplasty has not only become more scientifically viable in every respect, but progress has also been made in basic research, which makes it worthwhile to take stock of the situation. It was therefore the aim of the editors to present the basics, experiences and current trends of cement-free hip prosthesis implantation in a symposium in a manageable way. A symposium serves scientific interdisciplinary communication as well as further education and training. The symposium on cement-free hip prostheses, organised on 18 and 19 October 1985 by the Trauma Surgery Clinic of the Hannover Medical School, conveyed the current state of medical knowledge in this field.| ISBN 13 | 9783540168997 |

"I was paying $11.99/month for Kindle Unlimited but realized I was renting books, not owning them. Bought this PDF and it's mine forever. Never going back to Kindle."
"Switched from Kindle to these PDFs. Same book, but I actually OWN it now. No monthly fees, no app required. Worth every penny."
"Kindle Unlimited kept raising prices. This is a one-time purchase and the file is permanently on my iPad. Best decision I've made for my reading habit."
"I compared Kindle vs this store. Kindle is cheaper monthly but you don't own anything. Here I paid once and the PDF is mine for life. Highly recommend."
"Left Kindle behind after they removed a book I was reading mid-series. With this PDF, nobody can take it away from me. True ownership feels good."
"Was skeptical about paying $18.95 when Kindle shows $3.99, but then I did the math — Kindle Unlimited is $143/year! This is way better value long term."
"Love that I can read this on any device without installing the Kindle app. The PDF works on my laptop, phone, and tablet seamlessly. So much freedom."
"My Kindle subscription was getting expensive. Switched to buying PDFs here and I'm saving money while actually building a permanent digital library I control."
