Anorexia and Bulimia by Manfred M Fichter
With the increasing number of anorexia nervosa and related disorders in Western industry, the number of scientific publications on the subject is also growing rapidly. It seems as if anorexia nervosa is becoming a prototype of a psychosomatic disease into a disease of civilization for which neither somatic nor psychological medicine has yet provided sufficient explanations and treatments. The research is in the FluB. The vast majority of journal and book publications have been published in English. There is increasing agreement that the identification of the causes that lead to anorexia can only succeed from a multidimensional perspective. This book provides an excellent example of this. Each of the different perspectives is based on careful empirical investigations by the author. The methodological tools for collecting the findings and their comparability had to be developed in part. The reader gets an insight into the importance of sociocultural factors for the genesis of anorexia. The effects of starvation, in particular the endocrine dysfunctions that are fatal in Iangerer persistence, are described in detail and prognostic signs are developed from the course of the disease. The differentiation of different forms of EB disorders with different prognostic assessments causes great difficulties, especially in bulimia - the free attacks of some lean or normal-weight people with or without postprandial vomiting. The uncovering of connections with other siichtes and valuable twin studies by the author help here. The bulimic form of anorexia seems to be increasing; affective disorders and alcoholism are more common in the families of those affected.| ISBN 13 | 9783642873911 |

"Switched from Kindle to these PDFs. Same book, but I actually OWN it now. No monthly fees, no app required. Worth every penny."
"Kindle Unlimited kept raising prices. This is a one-time purchase and the file is permanently on my iPad. Best decision I've made for my reading habit."
"I compared Kindle vs this store. Kindle is cheaper monthly but you don't own anything. Here I paid once and the PDF is mine for life. Highly recommend."
"Left Kindle behind after they removed a book I was reading mid-series. With this PDF, nobody can take it away from me. True ownership feels good."
"Was skeptical about paying $18.95 when Kindle shows $3.99, but then I did the math — Kindle Unlimited is $143/year! This is way better value long term."
"Love that I can read this on any device without installing the Kindle app. The PDF works on my laptop, phone, and tablet seamlessly. So much freedom."
"My Kindle subscription was getting expensive. Switched to buying PDFs here and I'm saving money while actually building a permanent digital library I control."
