Anaesthesia Breathing — Circulation by M Gemperle
Anaesthesia and breathing and anaesthesia and circulation were the main topics of the XII Joint Conference of the Austrian, German and Swiss Societies for Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation. The two issues were dealt with in detail in a round table and in a series of presentations. 1m Round table on anaesthesia and breathing, under the chairmanship of M. GEMPERLE, the ventilation problems in modern anaesthesiology were discussed, while the discussion on anaesthesia and circulation, chaired by G. HÖSSLI, dealt in particular with the behaviour of the cardiovascular system under the influence of anaesthetics and muscle relaxants. The results of the roundtable discussions and the lectures on the main topics have now been published in this volume No. 80 of the series Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation, and the editors hope that the results elaborated at the XII Joint Conference in Bern can thus be made accessible to a wide circle.
